So theres just over a month left in the semester and as usual things are getting hectic! As for ECMP, I've been exploring with google sketchup and I'm getting a bit frustrated with it. I've been exploring diigo a bit as well, and I think I've decided to present with Rebecca for our March teaching lesson instead. I'm not too sure I am comfortable enough with sketchup to teach anyone else anything about it. I've watched many videos, and I'm still struggling. I'm not convinced that this tool would be overly helpful in a classroom setting. After researching more on diigo, I can see this benifitting a class moreso.
As for our collaborative project, Rebecca and I have had difficulty contacting Paula White when trying to get into her classroom. I've spoken with Ellyse, who is also working with her, and I've been trying to figure out just what I can do without actually talking with Paula. I'm at a bit of a standstill right now with this project, and I'm quite honestly getting a bit panicky. Ah the stresses of the final month of a semester..

Sometimes it's just as valuable realizing that a tool isn't suitable for the classroom. Hope everything works out with the collaborative project.

I was also given a list of three topics from my mentor too. What I did was pick one that interested me. I liked all three but I was really interested with finding tools to use to share stories in your classroom. I created a wiki and shared it with him. His first topic was wondering ways to share some stories that his class created or just different ways to share stories. I call my wiki sharing stories around the world. http://sharingstoriesaroundtheworld.wikispaces.com From there we have been interacting and I am going to put up a voicethread that his class made. I hope this helps you! Hang in there Christa! You can do it!
